4 Things to Consider before planning an outdoor wedding

Truth be told, we can’t think of anything more illustrious, impressive, and awe-inspiring than an outdoor wedding underscored by immaculate weather. Whether you’ve imagined having a wedding outdoors for as long as you can remember or you’ve been stirred by all of the beautiful outdoor "I do" inspo as of late, you’ll need to keep in mind that achieving an outdoor ambiance isn’t as cut and dry as its indoor counterpart. There are a lot of moving parts to putting together an event with outdoor vibes, but at the same time, the options and opportunities are endless.

Make sure you have access to electricity

You'll need a source of electricity for your vendors especially your DJ and possibly your caterer. It is an essential part of a wedding. It is likely that your DJ or band will ask you if there is a source of electricity to ensure they can provide their services.

Have a plan in place for all types of weather

This comes without saying but you want to make sure that you have a plan B in case it decides to rain or snow on your wedding day. Most venues who provide an outdoor space will also have an indoor back up space if needed. Before you secure your outdoor venue ask them if they have a back up plan included in their pricing.

Don't forget to rent bathrooms

This is a typical overlooked detail when planning an outdoor wedding, but it shouldn't be. It is important for you to provide your guests a place to use a bathroom. There are a lot of companies out there that are renting out nice portable bathrooms. It is not your typical porta potty (we do it the classy way around here) it is more so a bathroom on wheels that has stalls which can accomodate more than one person at a time.

Use the natural surroundings to set the vibe

You're doing your wedding outdoors for a reason so use the natural surroundings to your advantage. Doing this may allow for less money spent on florals and rental/decor and therefore you can allocate that money elsewhere.
