This week's blog comes with these BEAUTIFUL photos of Jeaven and Devin's wedding, We're still melting over all the photos @delsiefigueroa.photography got. The couple's happiness is truly contagious.
Jeaven and Devin, thank you for letting us be a part of your big day! We're so honored that you allowed us to help your dream day come to life, and we wish you so many years of joy, love, laughter, and health!
Jeaven gave us an opportunity to ask her a few questions about her wedding! Here is what she said.
How did you meet your spouse?
We met on Facebook at the age of 16 but we officially met at the movies.
How did they pop the question?
Devin set up a beach engagement. He made sure all of my family could be there. My uncle passed away a few years ago (we were very close in age and our relationship was definitely more like a brother to me) so Devin picked my uncles favorite beach.
What was your wedding style? Ex. Romantic, Whimsical, Modern, Rustic, Bohemian,Elegant, etc.
We went very black and white with touches of gold and greenery.
When it came to planning your wedding, what was most important to you?
The most important thing to me was that everyone who was attending was comfortable and didn’t feel out of place.
What was the best part of your wedding day?
Having all of our favorite people in one place!
How did hiring Stephanie Arias Event Planning help you plan your dream wedding?
Stephanie literally planned every second of our day. She saved the day with hair and makeup after we had a fail trial. She was the friendliest face! She controlled our obnoxious bridal party with such grace. (:
If you could provide a tip to another couple planning their wedding, what would it be?
Just enjoy your day. Hire all of the right people that you want to be a part of your day and do your research on them. After everything is done you’ll be so happy that you did. Also, enjoy the little moments and every opportunity that you get to be with the people that are there. I missed out on a few pictures with some family members that I wanted to get because I wanted to enjoy my cocktail hour and I have zero regrets about that. Something else that we did was, when you are sitting down to eat, just take a second and hold your partners hand and look at each other and just really feel how precious this time is. Lastly, another huge thing that we did is read our vows to each other during the ceremony. We definitely went back-and-forth on doing this but I’m so glad that we did it is a moment that you never get back.
Where did you say YES to the dress, and what designer did you wear?
I said yes to the dress at truly forever bridal in Tampa. I don’t know the designer. The consultant literally listened to everything that I said and picked out my dress and it was the first one I tried on.
Groom/groomsmen attire - where were they purchased/rented from?
We rented groom and groomsmen attire was from Men’s Wearhouse.
Where did you order your stationary from?
We ordered our stationary from a place in downtown Lakeland called
The Stationary Loft. I would advise anybody to do this as it was a more personal. She started from a blank canvas and we chose all the different fonts and colors.
When it came to your venue selection, why did you choose to get married there?
We chose The Edison Barn mainly for the aesthetic in the beginning. We wanted a very black-and-white modern look with a country vibe and that is definitely what we fell in love with at The Edison. Then, all the amazing people that work with The Edison was honestly of the cherry on top. Every single person that we worked with through The Edison was amazing.
Where were the bridesmaids dresses purchased from?
I allowed my bridesmaids to purchase wherever they wanted, I just requested it be black and floor length and I’m so happy I did this. The pictures came out amazing and all of the girls were amazing. It allowed our bridesmaids to feel the most comfortable and whatever style dress that they liked.
